The Bobby Shows Memorial Scholarship was established to support students pursuing post-secondary education, including college, university, trade school, cosmetology, or other specified training, who have actively participated in one of Bobby Shows' ministries.
This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors or undergraduate level students who actively serve(d) in any of the following non-profit ministries:
- Sports Crusaders
- Camp P82
- Park Hill Baptist Church (NLR, AR)
- Union Hill Baptist Church (Holts Summit, MO)
- First Baptist Church (Springfield, MO)
- Missouri Baptist Convention Summer Missionaries
To be eligible, applicants must also have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
This scholarship application will require your GPA, a transcript, an essay, and two letters of recommendation.
Essay: In Acts 20:24 Paul writes, "But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God." In no more than 500 words, how does living for eternal impact, rather than temporary success, shape your goals and decisions today?
Letters of recommendation: Please provide the contact information for two different people who meet the following criteria. Each individual will automatically be emailed a recommendation form when you complete your application.
- Supervisor/pastor of the non-profit ministry you are representing
- Mentor or teacher who can attest to your character traits and work ethic
The deadline to apply is March 9th, 2026. The recipients will be announced in May 2026, and funds will be applied by the fall 2026 semester.
